Who and what is Mommy & Me - CNY?

We are a not-for-profit group of members who get together to support and encourage each other. Now in existence for over five years, we have over 200 local families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers as members. The Mommy & Me organization schedules a wide variety of activities for children from birth to age five and also activities for children up to age ten when school is not in session.

Annual dues are $28, and most activities are free or under $5.

All members receive a monthly newsletter similar to this one, with a detailed listing and calendar of activities, along with added bonuses such as travel ideas, recipes, helpful tips on parenting, advertisements aimed at our families’ needs, and a list of upcoming family-friendly events in the area. On a typical weekday, members have the choice of attending anywhere from two to four activities with their children and often an evening activity for moms is offered. In addition, the group hosts three parties a year, provides meals for members with new babies, organizes monthly collections for different local charities, and sponsors several area playgroups.

The mom members in our group are comprised of stay-at-home moms, part time and full time working moms, and at-home child care providers. Extended family members including siblings are always welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Mission Statement:
Mommy & Me - CNY is an independent, not-for-profit organization for the development of young children (birth to age 10). Through various activities and functions, Mommy & Me – CNY provides its members the foundation of educational stimulation in the arts, sciences, and community awareness as well as social interaction for moms, dads, and/or guardians and their children. Mommy & Me – CNY is actively involved in fundraising in an effort to assist families and organizations in need. Through various activities and field trips, children and their parents are afforded the opportunity to spend quality time together in a social setting that is both fun and educational.
